I believe that mathematics should be taught, not collaboratively explored; algebra and geometry are better than a vague course of Integrated Math; spiraling doesn't work nearly as well as learning it properly the first time; "I don't DO math" should be an incentive rather than an excuse. "I don't DO English" should be treated the same way.

Reformers. Can't live with 'em ...
Besides, what could possibly go wrong with letting a non-teacher create the curriculum and make decisions for your school and district?
Freeskier - again. Isn't it ironic that the Secretary of Education, the leader of us all, not only never taught in a public school... he didn't ever attend one either. Talk about unqualified. Course that's not so surprising. Only one Secretary ever did (Terrence Bell), and that was during the Reagan administration. ... and look what we have evolved into...
