    Yep.
    Q: What does modern medicine have over homeopathy/folk remedies/etc?
    A: Double blind large scale studies of effectiveness.
    Some of us like that sort of thing.

    And the numbers of cases are down even with increases in population size, population density, and increased ability of people to travel and interact.
